TOTEM
TOTEM represents the journey of past, present and future in a convergence of mysteries. Celia works with the wonder of crystal gemstones and carved clay forms creating sculpture of connected vertical harmony grounded through their wooden plinths.
She has sourced and chosen each precious gemstone that she uses to create TOTEM for quality, colour and for that intangible element of mystery that these incredible stones capture and convey. Crystal gemstones are formed from minerals in the ground that have consolidated over thousands, sometimes millions of years.
Celia applies the same passion to the forms she carves and gilds for her FREEFORM TOTEM. These forms, carved from flax porcelain clay, are of opposing curves, both concave and convex, sit in vertical harmony on their wood plinth exuding an intimate and ethereal energy.
TOTEM is an invitation to make your own journey with the mysteries of crystals and Totem symbolism. Each piece is unique.
