Provencal Lavender Honey
Our honey is a pure monoflora made from the nectar of lavender which gives it its delicate and distinctive flavour. It is not an infused honey, but naturally created the way nature intended from hive to honey pot.
It is runny in texture and a gentle opaque golden colour. The lavender flavour cuts through the intense sweetness of honey giving it a delicate floral background taste. Watch the video below to hear the bees feasting off the lavender
The Lavender honey is made by Bernard & Brigitte Voisin apiculteurs for 30 years. Their beehives are in the heart of lavender country on Mont Ventoux, Southern France. Mont Ventoux is situated in a natural and protected environment. The honey is harvested immediatly after the lavender has finished flowering to ensure its purity. The honey has a appellation IPG: ‘Miel de Provence Indication Géographique Protégée ’ (Provencal Honey: from a protected geographic region.)
